The Board of Directors of Vancouver College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Hardy as President of Vancouver College effective September 1, 2012.

Following a comprehensive review by the Board of the governance structure for Vancouver College, the Board has established the position of President to oversee all financial aspects of the school, including responsibility for the vision, leadership, advancement, development, financial stewardship, planning and external affairs of Vancouver College. The Principal will continue to act as the educational leader of the school, including responsibility for leadership in curriculum, faculty development and the continued growth and excellence in the academic program. John McFarland will continue in his role as Principal and will be working closely with Dave Hardy to ensure that Vancouver College continues to achieve the highest possible educational standards consistent with our mission and identity as a Catholic school.

As most of you know, Dave Hardy formerly served as Principal of Vancouver College from 2003 to 2009. After stepping down as Principal in August, 2009, Mr. Hardy continued to provide invaluable assistance to the school as a consultant to the Advancement and Development Committee and in overseeing our Advancement Office. The Board is thrilled that Mr. Hardy has agreed to return to the school on a full-time basis as President.

The Board is confident that with the addition of Dave Hardy as President of Vancouver College and with your support, the school will continue to provide an exceptional faith-based education for your sons.
