Engaged parents for the betterment of our school

Parent Participation

Vancouver College's Parent Participation Program is organized to assist school staff and to develop a sense of community at the school. Each Vancouver College family is asked to volunteer a minimum of 30 hours of participation service per school year.  At the beginning of the school year, all families who opt to volunteer submit a cheque payable to "Vancouver College Blessed Edmund Rice Bursary Program" for $750.00 dated June 30, 2012.  When your hours of participation have been completed, the cheque will be destroyed. If your volunteer commitment of 30 hours is not fulfilled, the PPP Chair calculates the number of hours served and notifies the school's accounting department who then bills the family for the equivalent dollar amount. This money is deposited into the Blessed Edmund Rice Bursary Program. (Read more on PPP cheques)

Families unable to volunteer, are asked to remit a cheque for $750.00 payable September 4, 2011 to "Vancouver College Blessed Edmund Rice Bursary Program." This is in lieu of the 30-hour volunteer participation commitment.
