Vancouver College's faculty and staff play a vital role in creating an atmosphere of openness to religious activities; maintaining a physical and psychological environment where religious values are central to all aspects of education; and ensuring opportunities for counselling, prayer, retreat participation, service, and involvement in liturgical programs. The philosophical stance of Vancouver College is consistent with the mind of the Roman Catholic Church as stated in its "declaration of Education"; namely, to lead the young men toward a mature understanding of the purpose of life and to cultivate their potentialities so that they may fulfill their destiny.
The policy of Vancouver College is to hire, when available, qualified Catholic applicants who in addition to carrying out their professional responsibilities will exhibit conduct consistent with the Catholic denominational standard and model the values espoused by Blessed Edmund Rice in their professional and personal life.
