This two-week camp is a great introduction to being at school for the whole day for children entering Kindergarten in September 2022. Campers will enjoy a fun-filled day that includes early literacy activities, math skills, art activities, science topics, and physical activity!

Come explore with us this summer! Throughout this week-long camp, we will develop our creative and critical thinking skills by participating in STEAM activities that incorporate Science, Art, Social Studies, and Language Arts. Through a variety of indoor and outdoor activities and games, we will also develop our decision-making skills, make new friends, and have a lot of fun!

Exploring Science in our Everyday Lives - FULL

This week-long, full-day camp will give students the opportunity to produce experiments, helping develop analytical thinking, creativity, and deepen their understanding of scientific concepts. While creating a fun environment to explore their ideas, Exploring Science in our Everyday Lives aims to show students how they can use normal items to create complex and interesting experiments, which they can replicate in the future!

Young Artist Camp - FULL
Age: Grade 2 - 5

Come explore what it means to be an artist in this week-long art camp. Open to all experience and confidence levels, this half-day camp will include a variety of fun and creative projects. We will experiment with many different materials and art styles and most of all have an enjoyable time!

Head Start - FULL
Age: Incoming Grade 7 & 8 Vancouver College Students ONLY
Dates: Monday, July 4 - Friday, July 8 (Monday - Friday)
Time: 9 am - 12 pm (AM session) and 12:30 - 3 pm (PM session)

This camp is designed to make the transition to Middle School as smooth as possible for new, incoming Grade 7 and 8 Vancouver College students. Students will be given a “Head Start” to the school year, as they are introduced to some of the topics covered in English and Math, and well as the Vancouver College Middle School binder system, used by all Grade 7 - 9 boys at Vancouver College.
Campers will become familiar not only with their future classrooms and facilities in Manrell Hall and the rest of the Vancouver College Campus, but also with some of their new teachers and classmates!

Finnegan Publishing House - Online Only
Age: Grade 7 - 9

Vancouver College Finnegan Publishing House is an online Finnegan Summer experience for Middle School students. Over this two-week camp, students will read and review inspirational short stories, learn powerful writing techniques, write their own short stories, and collaborate with other campers to edit and ultimately publish their own work!
Campers will have the opportunity to order a hard copy of their work, printed and bound from this experience. During the registration process, parents will have the option to pre-pay for this keepsake.

High-Performance Training Camp
Age: Grade 9 + (co-ed)
Dates: Monday, July 4 - Friday, July 29 (Monday/Wednesday/Friday - 12 sessions)
Time: 9 am - 12 pm
Cost: $340
This camp is aimed at the high school athlete who is looking to develop the functional skills necessary for high-level athletic performance. Athletes will benefit from this four-week training program where they will receive instruction on how to perform proper sprint and agility mechanics, power development, plyometric exercises, and strength training including Olympic lifting techniques.
During nutritional break periods, athletes will review video analysis of their performance and will receive instruction on proper nutritional practices, recovery and regeneration techniques, injury prevention and management, flexibility protocols, and postural and core strengthening.
At the end of the camp, all athletes will receive a program that they will be able to follow for the remainder of the summer. From this camp, athletes will develop an understanding of the commitment, dedication, and desire that translates not only into increased performance but to life outside athletics as well!

- Students unable to commit to the full four weeks must obtain prior approval from Coach Vass (svass@mail.vc.bc.ca) before registering.
- Depending on COVID-19 restrictions, the time of this camp may be altered to allow for staggered session start times and greater separation between athletes.
