Add Lower Mainland MVP to the list of accomplishments for senior guard Jack Cruz-Dumont. This award came shortly after defeating Saints to claim the AAAA Lower Mainland Championships, where he put up a game-high 28 points.

Two other intriguing parts to this story: not only does Jack's MVP come exactly 25 years after his father, John Dumont, won the same award in 1993 with Vancouver College, but father and son cemented their MVPs in their respective final games against the same coach, Bill Disbrow, who coached Richmond High School in 1993 and now coaches Saint George's.

Please join us in congratulating Jack and wishing him and the Irish Varsity Basketball team good luck in the upcoming provincial championship tournament March 7-10 at the Langley Event Centre.
