At our very foundation, Vancouver College is a faith and learning community. While news, guidelines, and announcements may shake us, they will not change who we are.
Our top priority at the school is to ensure the health and well-being of our community. For this reason, we are asking everyone to follow the advice of medical experts, to adhere to physical distancing recommendations, and to stay home as much as possible.
May God bless you and keep you safe during these uncertain times.
Mr Johnny Bevacqua, Principal

Our current model of emergency online learning will remain in place until the end of the school year. This system is working for the majority of our students, and transitioning at this time would be counter-productive and detract from the overall continuity of learning.
However, we are opening the campus for those students who, through our Phased School Re-Opening survey sent to parents on May 15, 2020, have asked to continue their online learning in our buildings during the last few weeks of classes. Every student must have a completed Medical Pre-Screening Form with them before they are allowed entry to campus.
In the documents found below, you will find important information from each of the Assistant Principals, including:
- The schedule for students who indicated they will be returning to campus,
- opportunities for all Middle & Senior School students to return to campus, clean out their lockers, and say goodbye to their teachers, and
- important safety information for the Vancouver College community.
Students will only be permitted on the Vancouver College campus on their scheduled days. Please DO NOT send your son(s) to Vancouver College if they are not scheduled to be here, or if you did not inform Administration through the Phased School Re-Opening survey of your decision to allow your son(s) to study from our campus.
During this time of off-campus learning, parents are not permitted on campus, and are asked to direct your queries by phone or email.
As construction crews continue to work on our new courtyard, we ask that you now take note of the following changes:
- The Main Office is now located in Room B146 in Rice Hall.
- This temporary Main Office is only accessible using the entrance closest to the HPC and Theatre, off Hudson Street.
We will have a staff member available to answer the Main Office Phone from 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday.
Main Office - 604-261-4285 - firstname.lastname@example.org
COMMUNICATION FROM VC
Vancouver College will remain in close contact with all parents and students, continuing to provide updates through Monday Newsletters and as needed throughout the week.
Elementary School Students will receive information through their parents, who will be emailed directly by teachers regarding continued learning. Middle and Senior School Students will be contacted by their individual teachers through their VC email address or Google Classroom.
If you are not receiving communications (emails or newsletters) from Vancouver College, please contact Communication Officer, Chantal Coschizza.
KEEPING THE FAITH ALIVE
During challenging times, focusing on our faith is more important than ever. In his March 27, 2020 Urbi et Orbi Homily, Pope Francis advised Catholics to "Embrace the Lord in order to embrace hope: that is the strength of faith, which frees us from fear and gives us hope."
Our Campus Ministry team is offering the following resources to help students, families, and staff with their faith formation during these challenging times.
At the beginning of the school year, we planned to hold our annual Grad Dinner Dance on Friday, May 15, 2020 to celebrate our Grade 12 students and their accomplishments.
With COVID-19 delaying those plans for now, we want to dedicate Friday, May 15, 2020 to our graduates, and have a few special surprises for them throughout the day!
To our Graduates: On this day, we hope you put down your work, take a break, and spend some time (safely) celebrating your accomplishments with your family. We are so proud of you!
Our celebrations from the day will be collected on our Grad Dinner Dance webpage to share with our community!
