Class of 1953 Reunion

The Class of '53 held their 65th reunion on June 5, 2018 with a grand tour of Mackin, Lannon, McCormack, and Nichol Halls before they are brought down in a fall. Nine of the 1953 members attended. We only had eight, five years ago. We saw pictures of our dynamic football and basketball teams of the 1950's.

Still surviving to this day is the gymnasium which was built during our high school years, where we, as students, went out to seek donations. We also visited the top floor of the heritage buildings, where in our day, one section was a dormitory for out-of-town students. The visit was indeed memorable as we joined in with the current students in class.

Following the tour, we were invited to have a chat with several of the college staff to hear about the new buildings and facilities on campus.

After the visit, we adjourned to lunch at the nearby VanDusen Gardens to tell old tales and share our life experiences at the college and over the years since.

Our group of 1953 graduates is keen to hold another get-together in two years to try to keep up on each other's lives as well as the College.
