Daily Prayer & Announcements

Daily Prayer

Friday,January 18th, 2019

Today's prayer is by Zach Demers and Colm Kent.

As a faith and learning community we begin our day,

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord God, we praise and thank You for the gift of this day and for the night’s rest.

Thank you for all of the blessings we’ve had in the past year, including: a loving family, an abundance of food, and shelter above our heads.

We thank you often for our safe and democratic country, a safe environment to live in.

We thank you for the gift of education at Vancouver College so that later in life we can use this knowledge and become something greater than who we are today.

Be with us Lord, throughout this day in our teaching, learning, and all of our activities.

Support us in our collective and continuous commitment to creating a faith and learning community where the dignity and well-being of each and every person is celebrated, nurtured, and respected.

May everything we do and say today be guided by gospel values; by the way Jesus would want us to treat one another as we “Pursue Excellence in All Endeavours”.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Blessed Edmund Rice….. Pray for Us.

Live Jesus in our Hearts…Forever.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
