Dylan Kruger (VC'13)

Dylan Kruger (VC'13) is a municipal Councillor in the City of Delta. His passion for politics sprouted at a young age and has only grown stronger ever since. While a student at VC, he was President of the Student Council, a member of the Model United Nations club, and part of the History Accelerated Program. Dylan further pursued his love for politics at the University of Ottawa with a major in Political Science and Philosophy. Being in the national capital of Canada, Dylan volunteered for various Members of Parliament, worked for the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, and worked on the 2015 Federal Election.

As a lifelong  Deltan, Dylan came back home and was elected as the youngest city councillor in the history of Delta at the age of 23. Dylan is also a member of the Metro Vancouver Climate Action Committee, Chair of the Delta Community Livability Committee, and a Director for the Fraser Valley Regional Library. Dylan is most passionate about housing and transportation issues. As a Councillor, he hopes to continue fighting for more housing supply and more accessible transportation options to keep young families in the Lower Mainland.

"I was lucky that Vancouver College provided me with great teachers that motivated me to pursue my passion. Don't be afraid to go the unconventional path, and believe that you can make a difference in the society with your talents."
