The mandate of the Office of Advancement, under Vancouver College Limited (VCL), is to help meet the school’s current and future financial needs. Specifically, it is responsible for coordinating the development of funding priorities, external and internal communications, and maintaining the school’s relationships with current parents, alumni parents, alumni, the Catholic and corporate community.
The Office of Advancement handles all administrative functions related to fundraising; however, all donations are made through the Vancouver College Millennium Foundation (VCMF). Tax receipts are issued by VCMF in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
In the fall of 2016, Vancouver College launched the Our Next Century Campaign, its largest and most important undertaking in the school’s 100-year history.
Our Next Century consolidates all fundraising efforts of Vancouver College, the Vancouver College Millennium Foundation and the Vancouver College Parents Association into one $36 million campaign until the 2018-2019 school year. The Campaign emerged from the vision and strategic plans developed by the Vancouver College Board of Directors, and it is a key means through which the academic vision of the school will be implemented.
Our Next Century focuses on improving academic outcomes and campus life enrichment through three emphases: Campus redevelopment, financial assistance, and emerging educational priorities.
