Whistler Con Brio Music Festival 2022

Congratulations to all the Vancouver College Jazz and Concert Band ensembles who competed at the Whistler Con Brio Music Festival. Under the direction of Ms. Emily Ashcroft and Mr. Larry Olson, all groups performed marvellously and received the following awards:

Gold: Jazz 7 and 8, Jazz 9, Jazz 10, Jazz 11/12, Concert Band 7, Concert Band 9 and Senior concert Band.
Silver plus: Concert Band 8

Students participated in clinics, performed with their groups throughout the trip, and ended with a fantastic massed ensemble session. Thank you to all parent chaperones who helped make the weekend go smoothly and safely. It is beyond exciting for students to excel in their musicianship and enjoy Whistler with their peers. Their achievements this weekend are awe-inspiring and represent the best collective ratings we have received in the history of the Vancouver College Music Department.
